How We Started
Toolkitsycamore Mining Review began in 2019 when three field technicians — veterans of data centre cabling work in Gangnam — started documenting the real-world performance of ASIC miners arriving in South Korea. Manufacturer brochures promised hash rates measured at 25°C ambient; our first clients in converted warehouses near Paju were running at 38°C in August.
Rather than publish anonymous forum posts, we formalized the bench-testing practice into a consultancy. Our Jongno-gu office became the place operators brought disputed units for third-party verification before warranty claims.
What We Do Today
We remain focused on hardware rated at 0.05 PH/s and above — the threshold where power costs, cooling design, and maintenance schedules demand professional planning rather than hobbyist experimentation. Our team of six engineers and two procurement specialists serves clients from single-rack home operations in Seoul to 2 PH/s hosting facilities in Gyeonggi-do.
Our Approach
We visit facilities before recommending equipment. A hash rate target without knowing your electricity rate, intake airflow, and humidity profile is a guess. We write shortlists, not catalogs — typically two or three models with honest trade-offs rather than a ranked list of every machine on the market.
